Prep:  20 Minutes
Total Time:  30 Minutes
Servings:  5

Ingredient List

  • 1 package (14 oz) extra firm tofu, drained
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 box (4.7 oz) Old El Paso™ Stand 'n Stuff™ Taco Shells (10 Count), heated as directed on package

Preparation

  1. Pat the tofu dry with paper towels and crumble it to resemble ground beef.

  2. In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and cook, stirring occasionally, until light golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Stir in the taco seasoning and 1 cup water; cook until most of the liquid is absorbed, 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. Divide tofu among the heated shells and serve with toppings of choice.
