Prep Instructions

YOU WILL NEED:

1 LB. LEAN GROUND BEEF

2/3 CUP WATER

1 ¾ CUPS WATER FOR RICE

1 TABLESPOON BUTTER

FOR FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY, FOLLOW THE COOKING DIRECTIONS. REFRIGERATE LEFTOVERS.

1. Cook Rice: Add water, rice, and butter to 2-quart saucepan; stir well. Bring to boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.

While Rice is Cooking -

2. Cook Ground Beef: Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 7 minutes, breaking up and stirring; drain. Stir in 2/3 cup water and Seasoning Mix; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 2 to 4 minutes, stirring often, until thickened.

3. Serve beef with rice. Top with desired toppings and Queso Blanco Sauce.

Suggested toppings: fresh avocado slices, corn salsa, romaine lettuce, tortilla strips.
